Honoured to have visited there
Jun 2021
Plenty of parking. The information boards on the outside were very informative. Having previously read about the bombing of Darwin and of the Post Office civilians that were killed, it was very emotional to see this memorial. Do yourself a favour and read up about it before visiting to get a greater appreciation of the cemetery. Reading the headstones and acknowledging the sacrifices many young men (boys) made was well worth reflecting on. It was so peaceful. The grounds were extremely well maintained and exceptionally presented. Definitely worth a visit.

Wife and I went to have a look at the cemetery, and it was well worth it. It has been kept to an excellent standard, and there is an video to watch in the undercover area. A definite place to stop on your way through Adelaide River.

A beautiful place for the graves and it it really hits home that the war was on our shores. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission do a great job with the cemeteries and it is a nice way to pay respect to the sacrifice the young people made. Were the only visitors at the time, a solemn experience. It really is a lovely place to visit.

Great Experience - War Cemetery and Bombing of Darwin
Mar 2021
Highly recommend, great experience to visit and read all the reference material, exhibits etc. The whole gardens are very well kept, it has undercover seating for the audio and video display. [Thought this was excellent, ONLY THE VOLUME COULD BE A LITTLE LOUDER, we were the only 2 people there and had difficulty hearing the audio of the documentary ].

Always beautifully maintained, this is a very special place to reflect and pay respect to fallen diggers and citizens that sadly lost their lives.

Incredible

Quite a somber and emotional place. All Australians should be aware of how close Australia came to being infiltrated by enemy forces during the Second World War.
This really was an education today for me, such a special place.
Congratulations to those who keep this sacred place functioning.
