What an amazing operation they have put at Black Isle Brewery. We had a quick tour and enjoyed a couple beers outside. Contrary to previous posts, I didn’t find the gift shop overpriced. I hope we get to come back someday but in the meantime...More

The approach to this lovely little brewery is along a quiet, verdant lane in the beautiful Black Isle countryside. You drive down an avenue of oak and broom past a field of pure black sheep whose wool is used in the manufacture of woollen clothing...More

One of my favourite brewery tours. Very informative guide who took us through the whole process of beer making and discussed some of the challenges faced by smaller organic breweries. Great selection of beers and gifts available from the shop. Top tip: visit the bar...More

Quaint brewery, somewhat off the road (you will miss the signs on the highway very easily). They raise the sheep they use for their sweaters, first time seeing a field of ALL black sheep. Simple facility, variety of beers, handmade soaps from a local crafter,...More

We decided to come here on a whim as we'd seen signs and the shop was empty when we arrived with a sign saying there was a tour going on. There were people outside on benches drinking their beers which was nice. There was only...More

Great stop off when you're visiting the Black Isle. A quick brewery tour, tasting session and a rummage through the shop at the end. They sell beer, organic handmade soap, Scottish tablet and nibbles.

We always like to visit a brewery while on vacation as we like to sample the local brews. This place was fairly close to where we were staying, so we decided to check it out. When you make the turn for this place off the...More

Don’t be put off by the lengthy, very narrow country road out to this brewery – there are plenty of passing places and it is definitely worth the drive. There are lots of beers and merchandise to buy, really friendly staff, and free tours that...More

It's a lovely little place and the beer is great but as a tour of a brewery I would recommend somewhere bigger. For example this tour took 15 minutes or so with small samples whereas my local micro brewery near London takes... More
