Visited Vanessa and the crew this morning. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting practical knowledge. Really apparent how knowledgeable these guys are - the session is very practical, and Vanessa is quite a character. A Great present whether for yourself or someone else - they do other courses too

A lovely garden with 'rooms' charmingly laid out to show off the many species of herbaceous plants, shrubs and trees, many of which are available in the attached nursery. There is an extensive catalogue which runs to 55 pages! Much effort is made to encourage wildlife and there are bees, chickens and guinea fowl. The great variety of plants means... More

This was our second visit to this small but magical and well-established garden which abounds in flowers, shrubs and trees.. Wildlife is encouraged and bees, birds and many other creatures, flourish. Paths through the grounds take the visitor across a variety of spaces which include lawns and a pond. Everywhere, the eye finds pleasure at different heights. Plants are labelled... More

Visited this gem and glad we did. 18th century farmhouse with lots of small gardens to meander at leisure. Loved all the different trees and wild flower meadow with pond. Lots of different rose hips out. Interesting chickens and Guinea fowl too. You can tell it is a labour of love. Great bonus you can visit the plant nursery on... More

I went at the end of August, the flowers were just fading but what a beautiful place to visit. I was there for over 2 hours and could of stopped longer. Next time I visit I'm going to try the lovely cafe in the courtyard. There are many 'rooms' to visit and each one as beautiful but different from the... More

Love this garden. Very special with its peaceful areas to sit. A hidden gem and a place to de stress. Ilove the planting in all seasons and have found some new favourite plants.

While not your 'formal garden' Stillingfleet is a great example of what some land, and some vision can achieve. There are large areas of more natural growing along with some more formal areas. Personally I liked it. Cafe very nice and a good stock of the garden plants in the adjoining nursery.

We have been meaning to visit but never quite made the effort - but what a lovely day out. This small garden and plant nursery was a delight to visit. The gardens have something for everyone - we especially liked the wild areas teeming with butterflies and the colourful borders. Everything was well tended. On our day the cafe was... More

Wonderful find. Just had a fascinating couple of hours doing the Bee keeping course which I would highly recommend- I was entranced. Will certainly be going back as the gardens looked lovely and lots of fabulous plants fro sale.

My partner's parents wanted to visit Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens during their visit to Yorkshire. Although quite small there was plenty to see and each area very different and interesting. Price-wise no discount for Pensioners so flat cost of £5 each which doesn't sound a great deal, but it's not an extensive venue so would have usually expected a little bite... More
