The Sandringham Estate near Kings Lynn is a great place to go out for a family day, a family picnic, meeting up with friends, or just for a walk in the countryside/forest. The Sandringham Estate and House has I believe been in the Royal Family...More

We visited the Palace and also took a bike ride to Wolferton. The estate is huge and lots of places for picnics, free parking.

We frequently enjoy Sandringham Park for dog walks, our dogs always perk up and get excited as soon as we get to the Knights Hill roundabout (taste of fresh air). It doesn't matter how many times we go, there are always different paths to explore....More

We visited the Royal Apartments, the museum and the grounds. Our first impression was how well the grounds looked - everything tidy and nothing neglected. We were with a wheelchair and all the drives and walkways were smooth and sympathetic. We were able to use...More

Used the cafe for tea and cakes. Had some time in the outdoor play area which had plenty for children to do and seating for adults. Secured well so can relax with little ones. Good walking routes of varying lengths for all abilities. We took...More

My first visit to Sandringham and we were lucky with the weather. We paid for the full entrance which was £15.50 each, which included the grounds, gardens, museum and house. We really enjoyed the whole estate and learning about it's history. We would recommend the...More

Stopped off on the way home from a holiday. Parking is free and then you can roam all the Royal Family's land (apart from the gardens and house) for free. On a sunny day it is lovely- a great kids playground and lots of grass...More

As others have said; there were lots of dog walkers in the grounds, but not allowed in house as far as I know.

I cannot add anything further to other answers. It is really a delightful day out. Would take it in turns, to visit the house, and let the children wear themselves out under the remaining parents supervision.
