We have visited fish markets all over the world, and the one in Auckland is really pretty small compared to some we have seen. There were three actual spots selling fish, and then a large seafood restaurant. We purchased some fish, and the clerk was friendly and helpful, but the variety of seafood was not that great. Next door there... More

This is the second time I have visited here, last time was 2 years ago & I was not disappointed. If you eat inside the smell of fish can be quite strong, it doesn't bother me, but bothered my grandson, so we opted to eat out side in the covered area. There was a guy singing, which added to the... More

The fish at this market looks very fresh with good prices, e.g. Turbit which you pay £30 lb in the UK was $11 which was amazing. Wonderful fat oysters and of course the mussels that New Zealand is so famous for. Definitely worth a visit just to see the range even if you arent able to buy.

Fish of course was super fresh, the kumara chips were good, loved the scallops and mussels, such a variety of thing s to choose from. Delicious food.

Just dropped in for a takeaway coffee, but had a walk through the market. Interesting place to walk around. The coffee was good as expected and the food looked very appettising. Would recommend a visit

We went to Auckland Fish Market for lunch. However, it turned out to be quite disappointing. We were expecting something as lively and interesting as Sydney Fish Market but there're not much things to see. For lunch, there are not much eating places to choose from. We ended up at Wynyard Bar. Food is not too expensive, but not special... More

Best place for fresh fish so far the best in Auckland! We also had fish n chips kiwi style for our lunch. Reasonable prices and delicious. A+ highly recommended to all!

Dreadful is the only word I can use to sum up my experience at this restaurant today. We had been here a few times in 2014 - but what a difference between now and then. Presentation has rapidly gone down hill. The building in need of a serious makeover, the furniture and fittings the same, the food and wine menus... More

I like the fish market itself and I have done classes at the cooking school upstairs but the cafe is a tourist focussed rip off. Worse, it's run by people who don't seem to know what they are doing, which is a huge shame given the great location and the actual fish market next door. We went today, with the... More

You can find all sorts of fresh seafood here.....set out on ice for your perusal. I see lots of tourists taking pictures of the surprising variety on display. Across the entryway you can also buy various kinds of smoked fish or have a regular meal. The courtyard is good to sit in during sunny weather.
