Really In The Clouds

I got to the Church of Resurrection twice by personal car. The trip up there was great. I'm not a real church-going-fellow, but the Church looks fantastic, and the sight is... read more

High above Foros on the mountainside you will find the Church of the Resurrection. Just outside the church are a couple of small souvenir shops. The views are splendid and you will find the wrought iron fence and gates on the seaside edge of church filled with wedding padlocks of the local Ukrainian tradition. There are much more splendid church... More

Good views! The inside of the church itself I thought quite small. We hiked into Foros and it was quite spectacular and scenic approaching from above. Then getting to the church, there happened to be a wedding in progress which was interesting to watch!

Visited from Yalta. Good view of the Black Sea. The view is really the main reason to visit this church as similar churches can be found through Ukraine. Paintings inside the church are nice but nothing special.
