Good but pricey

The top of the mountain is a fun place to be but the sky ride is an expensive way to the top. However, its almost worth it.

I'm not into skiiing, or snow for that matter, but I really enjoyed this place. The views are amazing. We took the seabus, then the 236 Bus, and then the sky ride. If you're not there for snow and ice activities, You may feel a bit jipped paying the $40 just for the sky ride. Given that there is no... More

A great service made even better with the latest announcement from Translink that this service will now run every 15minutes, even in off peak times.

Grouse Mountain is definitely worth a visit for the snow sports, light display (finished now.... aim for next December!), views or just to eat at the restaurant. In winter, the gondola is the only way up. The cabins are large and apparently fit 100 souls.... so you get pretty cosy with your neighbours skis, backpack, helmet etc... It's hardly a... More

We took the cable car up to the top of Grouse Mountain on a snowy day. Loved waking around the top on the path, saw reindeer and enjoyed exploring the lodge. Definitely wish we had gone up to go skiiing though!

I always enjoy the ride. Last week the trees were covered with fresh snow. It was like riding through a Christmas card. The lake below is one source for drinking water for Vancouver. Some of the best water in the world. (Makes the rain easier to take). And looking out you can see Mount Baker, Metro Vancouver and mountains to... More

Although our visit happened during a very windy, rainy winter night, the sky ride employees made us feel very comfortable and safe.

Love the view you get from the sky ride up to the lodge and can get very crowded during ski season and sometimes during the summer abit full, so try and get there early. If possible take the transit as Parking fills up and can be expensive too. A great place to go and see beautiful views you can only... More

If you get a chance, you MUST do this, and please take a real camera. It can be cold at the top so wear winter clothes, but i will be worth it, especially if you are up there at sunset.

If you're sightseeing in Vancouver in Winter with children plan an afternoon/evening trip to Grouse Mountain preferably when there's good visibility. It is magical even if you're not skiing but bring suitable waterproof footwear with a good grip. The cable car Skyride takes you to another world. Catch the sunset on the viewing deck with stunning views over Vancouver and... More
