Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fabulous restaurants, fun and friendly vibe, ice cream shops, water views, skating rink, and giant ships docked nearby. One of my favorite Vancouver spots on a hot summer night!

Another kid friendly place to go. Lots of things to climb on like old trucks and a playground and great views of the ferry coming in.

Most likely the Lonsdale Quay area has the second best view of Downtown Vancouver, after Stanley Park. Also a great way to watch cruise ships sail away from port around 4 or 5 in the afternoon. There is ample seating as well.

Was here in the summer, and thought there might be more to it. Was lunching with a friend close by, and took the opportunity to look for changes and additions.
Sadly, not much happening on a cold wet winter day. Will visit again next summer in an attempt to find something positive about this Granville Island wannabe.

Very nicely redeveloped waterfront area with lots of area for community activities, picnic tables, and restaurants. Public washrooms located her as well.

Great place to hangout, with picnic tables, umbrellas, planter boxes, and now with the new drinking rules, you can actually enjoy a beer or wine with your take out meal.

The Shipyards is a waterfront area in the City of North Vancouver which includes a variety of restaurants, shops, a couple of hotels. They've recently redeveloped/expanded the area to include Shipyard Commons, which has the area’s largest outdoor skating rink in the winter/ water park in the summer and an event space. At Shipbuilders' Square (which commemorates the thousands of men and women who worked in the shipyard from 1906 -1992) there are often concerts, markets, and celebrations, especially in summer. The area also includes the Pipe Shop, a really cool industrial-ish building which hosts markets, wedding, special events, etc.

You can walk along the docks, pop into one of the many restaurants, check out the views of downtown or the sunset. It's a lovely area where there's always something on the go. Just a 5 minute walk east of the Lonsdale Quay/Seabus terminal.

The TripAdvisor map shows this attraction at North Vancouver's City Hall, which is inaccurate. It is actually on the waterfront (surprise!) just east of the Seabus. Address appears to be 125 Victory Ship Way, North Vancouver.
To access from downtown, take the Seabus, walk through Lonsdale Quay shops, stop at tourist centre near the rear on the first floor, get advice and pamphlet with map, then proceed eastward about 200 yards.
Now, this place appears to wannabe either Steveston or Granville Island (I'm not sure which) and so far is failing at both. The great views of the harbour and the Vancouver skyline are little different than the views from the Cheshire Cheese restaurant in Lonsdale Quay, or Waterfront Park, a short distance to the west.
There is some interesting machinery to look at, but no plaques indicating the significance.
But let's give it the benefit of the doubt - perhaps it's not finished.
