Looking for a new and interesting bit of nature, we happened upon this amazing park that has some wonderfully interesting history. Another gem hidden away in the TriCity area.

An interesting heritage site, with a vintage house & displays plus numerous trails with some beautiful views of the river, valley & surrounding fields & peaks. Worh a daytime visit in spring, summer or fall, but be wary walking the trails as some are not well marked and the woods make it quite easy to get confused. Bring your camera... More

We actually had our Medieval wedding here. Loop trail with look out points with spectacular valley views is a wonderful walk around the lake. Do be watchful of bears especially in the fall. If you are lucky you might even see a beaver.

The good: - it ain't crowded ..not not least during the time we were there. It was easy to find parking spots. - the trails, although we have only tried one, are very decent. Make sure you've got the right shoes! Who hikes without the right shoes anyways? Anyone? - pretty clean...at least you ain't watching out for dog poo... More

My wife and I took the kids for a hike. They're 7 and 9, we did the high knoll, we didn't find it very hard, kids complain a couple of times. It's less than an hour to the top. A little bit of an incline at the end. Great view from the top. Worth the hike. Excellent for families.

Went for a lovely hike in Minnekhada Park with our pups. The park was well marked and easy to get to. There are various trails some dirt, some gravel. Some parts are not suitable for small children as they are very steep and slippery rock surfaces. All in all it was a lovely day in Coquitlam! There was only one... More

We love to go to Minnekhada park and enjoy their various trails. We bring our kids and dog and love to get "back to nature" and see all the wildlife. There are various well marked trails that take you around the small reserved grassland.

Despite being so close to the city this park has that far flung feeling. OK the trails are all maintained and generally well surfaced but there's no doubt nature is busy during the winter trying to undo all the Rangers work. There are some parts, especially as you start to climb where the rains have washed away small parts of... More

Definitely exceeded my expectations. Easy-to-moderate trail with lots of great views. Ran out of time and had to settle for the Outlook and the Low Knoll. Should have explored the Lodge. Next time will definitely go up the High Knoll.
