About
This Canadian aviation history museum tells the stories of people and aviation in Canada. Visitors can take a chronological walk around the Museum starting with WWI to present day. They can see how large a part Canada has played in aviation history, and how large a role aviation has had in shaping the lives of Canadians. The Museum contains fine examples of both civilian and military aircraft, and a huge selection of aviation related artifacts, photos and models. The Museum is constantly undergoing display changes to allow our visitors to see something new each time they stop by. The Museum is a ground-level facility, with ramps for easy wheelchair access. Vehicles and HandyDART buses can pull up adjacent to the main entrance. Along with the aircraft and displays, the Museum has an extensive aviation gift shop with everything from posters to books, hats, t-shirts, toys, videos and much more.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was so much fun to visit flight museum for all my family. We got an amazing tour from local tour guide name Robert. He was extremely knowledgeable and fun and friendly at the same time!😊 Highly recommended this place for everyone who wants to touch the Canadian flight history from World War 1 to nowadays!

I love this museum as it has a lot of great aviation exhibitry inside (from full scale aircraft and model airplanes to local airline and military displays and uniforms), yet it is a local little small town attraction with great warmth and heart. Local volunteers actually spend time describing aviation related stories and displays to you with personal insight. Great gift shop and nearby cafe. Always great to go.

We were looking for something to do with our young kids and stopped into the Canadian Museum of Flight. Very friendly staff and lots for kids and parents to see. Indoor area was nice on a rainy day a lots of planes outside. Cheap visit and a covid safe experience.

My son and I explored the museum for a fun summer activity. We basically had the museum to ourselves. Lots of old planes to look at and before COVID kids could sit in the cockpits. Also an inside hanger with more planes and lots of historical displays with interesting fact.

They have an outside picnic area which is also nice to watch all the planes on the runaway as the museum is part of the Langley airport.

There is also a new terminal at the airport as of the summer of 2020 with Blacksmith bakery located inside which also has a patio on the runway. So after you are done with the museum head over there for a coffee and baked good.

We stopped in at the air museum at the Langley Airport. While not the largest museum we have visited, it was very interesting in the fact that there were several older gentlemen actually working on rebuilding a few aircraft and building one from scratch. I related to them that I am in the process of rebuilding a Taylorcraft from 1943 and that opened a great conversation. What a great experiance as they shared their knowledge with me. They shared several tips and techniques that have helped me on my project. What a wonderful visit and great folks!

Had a great time there with the grandchildren today. There is more than enough stuff to see and do to keep up the interest of 3 boys and 1 girl ages 3-8 for a good hour. Small but definitely adequate gift shop. Pleasant staff!

You you like flight and history, you will enjoy this quaint little museum.

Don’t expect a big city venue. It is a small facility with limited display.but it is cute.

Thank you for your review, as it is useful for our visitors to know what to expect. Very true, we are a funky little museum. A lot of our visitors enjoy that 'cluttered old hangar' atmosphere, and many remark how surprised they were, as they wandered around, by just how much there is to see and learn. We like to claim we have 'inner bigness' - but certainly do not come expecting to see an expansive facility. Thanks again!

The volunteers here have done a fabulous job bringing history back for us to enjoy. Whether it be a fulls size bomber that started out as a hulk found under water or a donated plane in need of preservation there will be something for all. My 6 year old granddaughter really loved touring this museum. It may be small but they make the most of what space they have. Don’t forget to check out the static displays at the south west corner of the airport. A majestic DC3 as well as a Grumman Tracker that was converted and served as a firecat putting out fires in BC.
