We hiked Grassi Lakes in Dec 2017. At the time there was no snow in the lower elevations so the hike was great. It wasn't particularly hard and we really enjoyed seeing the beautiful color of the lakes, even in the winter. The view from...More

This is a relatively short walk in Canmore. The hike takes you up to this beautiful waterfall. I went in the winter and it was foggy and snowy but I still really enjoyed the view.

the hike was amazing, really, any fitness level could do it. like others i suggest taking the "hard way" up and the "easy" way down, if you want to make the most of the beautiful views.

Three ways to get to Grassi Lakes.. from the top or via the Fire road, but I'd recommend the trail by the waterfall.. experience the steps built by Lawrence Grassi himself.

This was a nice easy quick hike well protected from the elements. It would be fantastic for families. There’s a nice view from the top. The more difficult route was closed. Loved it anyway.

Following the easy trail(open in winter) up about 300m brings to you to two small lakes nestled in the mountains. We missed having the direct sun, but were able to get some beautiful water/mountain reflection pictures. The walk is so peaceful and the benches placed...More

Did this hike in the spring and there was still snow on the trail. However the hike is easy enough to complete with snow and ice, would just recommend good boots or crampons.

Yes as long as the stroller has big wheels. We have a schwinn stroller that would have worked. An umbrella or stroller with plastic wheels would not be recommended. Do not try the hard way with a stroller as the path is... More
