Plenty to see in a reconstruction of an Indian village, with explanatory signage. Lots to see in the attached museum as well.

I loved my visit to the museum. We were able to explore the displays to learn about long ago and used the teaching maps to learn about european visitors from 1700 and 1800's. I wanted to get into the hurin village display outside, but it...More

Visited this museum as part of a Heart of Georgian Bay tourism tour. They are taking their time and carefully redoing the displays within the building. The Ouendat Village is wonderful with a variety of activities for children to experience during the peak season.

This was my 3rd time over many years, 2nd as a mom. It works for a wide range of ages, both the self-guided walk through the village, and the museum rich with local history. My only concern was the enormous birch bark fire started by...More

This museum was a total disappointment. We were there 30 years ago when our children were young and it was great then. So disappointed to see it become so rundown.

This museum features an excellent Quendat village (including an impressive long house), and exhaustively covers the subsequent white man's era, including a good selection of ship models. It also has an impressive shop, featuring a wide selection of high-quality books and souvenirs.

The staff at the museum were quite nice and friendly. My wife and a friend took a tour of the museum and a self discovery tour of the village and came back pretty disappointed. There was not much on offer and the entrance fees were...More
