Although less known than neighboring landmark Deerhurst Highlands, par 64 Deerhurst Lakeside is a local favorite for a quick round, family play or a warm-up game. Redesigned by famed Canadian Tom McBroom, the front nine skirts Peninsula Lake while the more demanding back nine uses most clubs in your bag. Driving range and practice green get you started; an all-ages Golf Academy led by one of Canada’s Top 50 instructors will keep you on course.

On 9 August myself and 5 friends played the Lakeside course. This review is not about the course but about the service at the clubhouse. When we had finished our round of golf on a very hot day we sat in the restaurant at the clubhouse. The six of us sat there for 20-25 minutes watching the tables beside us... More

Loved staying at this resort, suited us perfectly and close to lovely town of Huntsville. Nice indoor pool. Lake and beach was great. Dylan took us out on a lovely boat on the lake. Food was a bit pricy in the hotel, only ate there once. Only other comment is to make sure you ask for a non pet room... More

THE golfcourse is locaties at THE boarder of Muskoka lake next to Huntsville. THE slopes of THE Deerhurst lakeside are also good for beginners. We rented a practically new golfset And had a wonderfull afternoon.

We went as a family for 2 days after Christmas. We stayed in the Bayshore building...although our room was nice, it was a ways from the main building, too far for winter. If you don't want to be near the noise, go here. However if you have a child under 8 stay the main lodge it has all you need!

Could walk to the golf course from our hotel room. Golf course in good condition, under 5000 yards long but many challenging holes.

Golfed with my son, daughter in law and eight year old grandson. Only did the back nine put teed off early in the morning which allow us lots of time for "lessons". Challenging enough but not crazy. Better golfers could try driving a couple of the par 4 greens just for fun. Staff and pro shop was great. A wonderful... More

I like this course it's interesting as well as challenging...on one hand its traditional the once you cross under the road it turns into a links course... A bit weird but again it's fun. The hills are also a nice touch as one hole has you hitting up 100 feet to hitting down 100 feet. Nice wide fairways but many... More

Deerhurst Lakeside is an extremely pretty course. May of the front nine holes border on Peninsula Lake and the vistas are fantastic. There are some short technical holes, and longer par 5s which allow you to spread your wings. It's not the cheapest course in town, but you are paying for an experience. Deerhurst provides high end service to a... More
