Always a good time

This beats the theatre, hands down! Always worth the drive from Oshawa. There are no bad parking spots, but get there early if you have a favorite- the cars line up on the road... read more

Those of us who grew up in the area have awesome memories of the Port Hope Drive-in theatre. Times have changed, but there's still nothing else like going to a drive-in movie. There used to be wired speakers that you'd put in your window, but things have changed. They have a modern snack bar, clean facilities, good view of the... More

Havent been there in year. Very strick on outside food and drink. As well not really the owners fault but many people cant seem to find switches to shut off lights. And you are not aloud to take in a bag of chips but apparently you can take in weed damn near got stoned just getting out of my vehicle.... More

Staff rudely searched car on the way in for...contraband? No, outside food! We bought popcorn from the concession stand and it was terrible. Tasted like it came from a bag...not fresh popped. Prices comparable to going to any other theater so the price was fine but the quality is unbelievable. Staff is the worst. They threaten you from the moment... More

This little drive in theatre is one of a few that are left. Very family oriented setting with swings and slides for the kids to keep them busy before the movie starts. Great evening out with the family!! Enjoy!!

Since the era of the Drive-In has almost disappeared, it is refreshing to be able to go the the Port Hope Drive-In Theatre. Best time to go is on Sunday nights for carload pricing. There is a canteen, wash-room and a play area for the kids during intermissions. Usually open mid-April on weekends, then daily during the summer break.

We drove from Ajax to come here so we could see a movie (or two) as we couldn't leave our baby at home. We did carload night so it was cheaper than a night out for sure. We didn't see the second movie because it was raining so hard we couldn't hear the movie and couldn't turn it up too... More

I am so glad this place is still open! Every year we wait for a family friendly movie and then off we go, at least once, to see it. They make sure large vehicles don't block screens. They are very firm about outside food, but I can understand that - concessions are critical to their business and if buying popcorn... More

There are not a lot of Drive-inn's around anymore, and it's surprising how many people don't know about this place. I often take my niece/nephews and they love it. We bring our blankets and pillows and lounge in the SUV. My one nephew loves to watch from the roof, lays down with his pillow & comforter up there, and has... More

Been travelling here from Oshawa for a long time. Lots of great memories. Concessions stand could use a whole new building (washrooms too) but add to the throwback feel of this place. Kudos to the owner for keeping it open and just for being awesome! I look forward to hearing his voice on the machine every April when they open... More
