Saturday, 12 Nov 2016 When in Yarmouth, we drop in to the gallery to see the latest exhibits. Located on Main St. Parking is not difficult to find. Walking into the gallery and towards the reception desk, there is a sense of, or a feeling of grandness. We were greeted with great smiles from staff. There are two floors of... More

The gallery is quite small but had interesting exhibits. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Would not make it a destination visit, but while in Yarmouth it was very worth while. They referred us to visit Murray Manor Art & Culture House which was very good.

Dropped in to see a particular exhibit. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We also found a few surprises in the other exhibits. Easy to find, easy to visit, accessible, and not too expensive for a family visit.

Beautiful and interesting art in this Art Gallery. Great spot to visit if you like art work. Small fee to get in but it is well worth the fee you pay to get in.

The Art Gallery provided a great space for my group of ladies learning about Folk Art to hear Alan Deacon give a presentation on Maud Lewis. Very organized and helpful staff.

The curator was so excited about the show she wanted to talk to me about every piece. She knew a lot about each one and though I didn't actually tour with her we discussed some of the works and how they came to be there. It was SO interesting. I was very lucky to view 3 wonderful artists, one of... More

The Western Branch of the AGNS is a must visit for those interested in art. It always has a current show brought in from Halifax featuring top artists in the Province's collection. The current show on the main floor is a Yarmouth area folk artist. The galleries on the upper floor have additional shows. In addition, the gallery exhibits well... More

The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Western Branch in Yarmouth is awesome. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable. This summer they had amazing local work and the most famous local artist to be featured was Maud Lewis. This is a fitting finale to the Maudified House Project and many local events based around this project. Bravo. Well Done.

Wonderful art gallery. Had trouble finding how to get in, wonderful historic building with beautiful oak double doors on Maint Street, locked. Gotta go to the side alley. Not open on Monday in case that is the day you are in town. So glad we got to view the wonderful art display.
