Short, but steep hike. Takes about an hour to get to one of the three peaks. Great place to enjoy the view over the sea to sky corridor and Squamish.

The chief is an awesome hike that is just 30 minutes outside of Vancouver, therefore is very easily accessible via car or public transport! The walk begins with an amazing view of Shannon Falls, however this is just merely the start! The walk itself is...More

Very challenging hike. Steep and uneven steps pretty much the whole way. The second peak you traverse with the help of chains and a ladder. Very slippy roots be careful even with hiking boots struggled for grip. Did see people in trainers but some took...More

Wear good hiking shoes or boots. Bring extra water, food and a pack with extra clothes just in case. A great hike on a sunny day. Stunning views. Much more fun than the grind as the hikers here enjoy the hike without racing you up...More

We visited in the summer after it opened. I highly recommend it, especially if you want to see the beautiful mountains and Howe Sound... and after 20+ years of people telling me they could see the Chief from the highway (when I couldn't), I now...More

The Chief in Squamish is a really tough hike but the views at the top are unbelievable. The top is slightly tricky on the second Peak, however conquering if is part of the experience!

We took the Sea to Sky Gondola up here and really loved the experience. The views are just breathtaking. If you are in the area, just go here. That's it. JUST GO.

This was my first time doing the chief but I now know that you have to do the hike in order to take in the view. There is no view from the parking lot area. Pack a lunch and hydration and plan to spend a couple hours to hike... More
