Took the hike to the first peak. It was more difficult than I had expected but the view at the top was well worth it. Water is not available so be sure to take some. Good shoes are a must. There is a sign at...More

Definitely worth the hike but be prepared to ascend, ascend and ascend some more. Take food, water and perhaps gaterade.

Really great challenging hike all uphill. Would say it's a intermediate hiking trail, not too hard but also not easy. Had to take several breaks. Took roughly 4-5 hours to complete including breaks. The view is amazing on the second summit. Highly recommend !

A lot of nature. Beautiful park in the near of Squamish. Beautiful lakes and a lot of green and good possibilities to watch the local fauna

My wife and I hiked the chief and went to all three peaks in one session. We are both 52 and in fairly good shape but this was still a challenge. Total trip time was 5 hours with some relaxing and snacks at each peak....More

People complain that it's too busy, but on a weekday I found it just busy enough that I never felt alone but also never felt crowded - the kind of busy that gives you plenty of people to get chatting with without making you feel...More

We had a blast climbing all three peaks of the chief. Challenging, with steep steps to start and then ladders, chains and boulders to finish but the views are spectacular! Most people only go to the 2nd peak, but I highly recommend making it to...More

This was my first time doing the chief but I now know that you have to do the hike in order to take in the view. There is no view from the parking lot area. Pack a lunch and hydration and plan to spend a couple hours to hike... More
