BC Ferries offers daily connections between the residential islands including Vancouver Island and the mainland of Canada. There are more than 30 ferries serving more than 45 ports of call. The vessels vary in size, speed and amenities. They all carry cars and many of...More

I did a day trip from Victoria to Vancouver and took the BC ferry for the first time this June. A sedan car with 3 adults costed $105 one way. We arrived at 7 am and took the 8 am ferry to Vancouver. Later in...More

The price to ride these ferries is absolutely ridiculous and the price seems to increase with every ride we take.

We travel often on the system and have generally had positive experiences. Service is usually timely with. some congestion at weekends despite extra sailings to popular destinations. We believe that the ferry system offers good value for money spent.

We took the BC Connector from Canada Place Vancouver to Victoria downtown. This is hugely organised, runs on time and really friendly drivers. The bus boards the ferry and then you can go up to the decks for the 90 minute crossing, then you return...More

We used BC Ferries to travel from Vancouver to Victoria, and also from Horseshoe Bay to Vancouver island. Both were positive experiences. The ferries are clean, run on time, and very professional. Great service, plus fantastic scenery.

Just used B.C. Ferries to go from downtown Vancouver to Victoria and found the experience to be very efficient. Apart from a mix up with the travel agent booking, the process was seamless. Once at Pacific Central Station in Vancouver, just go to the bus...More

Hi Burner50 Thanks for your question! To visit Victoria I recommend sailing from the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal in Delta. If you wanted to rent a vehicle in Vancouver then you could make a stop at the Vancouver... More
Hi, I'm going to be using the BC Ferries service to get back and forth between Vancouver and Victoria. How is the passage? Has everyone experienced a pretty smooth sailing without a lot of rocking back and forth? I do not like boats.

You are in the inside passage and do not normally see waves and swells which cause the rocking. You should be fine.
