Gort's has a cheese making tour. It is fascinating to learn how the cheese is made and watch them in production. At the front of the factory is a cheese store with many flavours and varieties of Gouda. We love the medium to aged and...More

2nd visit in a year. Went to sample the cheeses and find they are much improved. "Gouda" now has the taste and almost the texture of a real Gouda. Maybe the absence of aging with a wax rind (Gort's doesn't do this). Cumin cheese is...More

Went there today expecting something totally different. I must say the Gouda cheese was excellent and I've never seen so many verities. As far as a walking tour it was not mentioned or offered at all.

We had bought cheese here years ago- before the health problem with the cheeses- so on a recent road trip we stopped there again and purchased a few different cheeses. What a disappointment. My husband actually threw out the mild gouda after tasting it. I...More

Made the Stop based on the reviews, and quickly left. Not to impressed, they had cheese samples sitting out to try and they look like they had been there for some time and tasted like they were mad in the barn. It could of been...More

We drove all the way from Kelowna to taste and buy this Gouda Cheese. Lots of samples so you know what you are buying. This is from grass fed cows and you can really notice the difference in a high quality cheese. The owner told...More
