Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went end of May 2022, most trails were closed still so we didn't get to do all of what we wanted... but what we did see was beautiful. We managd the Soren Sorensen hike, Inspiration Woods and Nels Nelson and all were great (especially the Inspiration Woods)

I booked 9 All day passes online and went to park to pick them up just to find the info was incorrect in collecting them. Then had to stand in line to find where to pick them up. No information then on where activities were located. Had to ask on where to get discs for the disc golfing, There’s an extreme amount of back tracking to get to the different activities and no clear indication of where each activity is located. We’ve been and experienced the mountain coaster which was unique and everyone enjoyed this activity, but will not likely go back again

This was a beautiful experience for our latest family trip. For 20 years, as we drove past Revelstoke to visit family, we have gone past the sign and wished we had time to see these alpine meadows. This year we made time and the park was amazing. Stellar 360 degree views, well laid out paths and informative signage.

Fantastic national park. You have to pay for a pass to enter, minimum a day pass. Long drive to car park at top (40 minutes) rewards you with stunning views , a range of hikes of different distances. We set our for Millar Lake , but didn't quite make it as we ran out of time

We took the easy path of driving up to the peak. There are several view points along the way, great views, in both up and down direction. A bit disappointed at top with Balsam Lake almost dried up. On the way down is better to enjoy the mountain views.

They closed down the mountain trails to vehicles, which is fine, cyclists, which I don't understand but I'm not a cyclist, and hikers, which is totally unacceptable. The reason the fat guard gave us was that there was snow on the trails. I'm an adult, and I was prepared for a long and difficult hike, I don't need this kind of paternalism form such terrible shepherds of a public resource.

Stopped in here one morning to grab a walk before heading out on our long drive west. Stayed a couple of hours and enjoyed a beautiful scenic walk complete with breathtaking views all around. Really worth the drive up this majestic mountain.

Stunning park, with amazing views and great value at $15.60 for the two of us (ticket valid in other parks tomorrow also until 4pm). Its a 25 km convoluted drive to 1km from the summit, with several viewpoints of the valleys below and snow capped mountains, trail start points and information boards. From now until end of August, there are many flowers growing on the roadside and lake meadows. The summit is 1km from the top car park, which can be reached on foot or by free shuttle bus. There is a possibility that you will see bears. Take your bug repellent.

The new campground, Snowforest, which recently opened at Mount Revelstoke must have been designed by someone in Ottawa. No signage when you drive in to direct you to the camping welcome center, and when you do find it there is no place to park your RV so you have to block the road. Only 20% of the roads are paved so you eat dust all weekend. There is a bunch on dumb walk in campsites with no parking. The only sites suitable for larger units are the pull throughs in the center but they cut down all the trees so there is no shade. Overall we were disappointed and Parks Canada could have done so much better.

We walked to the "summit" expecting to see an overlook of the land below only to find there is no summit, only signs for more trails. Speaking of signs, why isn't there a sign at the beginning of the trail to the "summit" saying, oh how about "trail to the summit?" There were numerous trails leading off from the parking area, none of them indicating they were the one to the summit. Yes the windflowers are beautiful and the overlooks on the road up were stunning, but don't call it a summit if it isn't.

Will the trails be open during the last two weeks of September/early October?
Written 27 August 2017
Almost certainly. However, this is a fairly high altitude location, so the weather can be unpredictable. Early snow is always a possibility, but even with light snow the trails will still be open. Make sure you are geared up appropriately for possible bad weather and be aware this is big bear country. Investing a few bucks in a can of bear repellant is a good idea. Other wise this is a beautiful area with few people .... enjoy!

The "Revelstoke Mountain Coaster" is located at the mid lodge or Revelstoke Mountain Resort (the ski hill). It is a small 1 person roller coaster that takes you from the mid lodge to the bottom. It only runs in the summer months and is a great attraction for all ages!

By the way I recommend you bring bug spray. We had it and had no problems but saw many people without and it was a problem.
