I’m not fit, and found all the sturdy stairs in and out to the suspension bridge quite challenging. It was worth going for the beauty and the view.

We started the walk to the falls at the very beginning so it took us about an hour and a half to get to the falls. Stunning water fall and the suspension bridge is great fun to view the falls from.

Well worth a trip here to learn how a hydroelectric project is being renewed with a heavy bias towards improving the environment. Great for kids to learn of such things then go on the short walk to the suspension bridge. A pretty good height but...More

Really small easy walk to a beautiful water fall. It is a great place to go after the water has been released from the Dam

Lovely walk through groomed trails to spectacular falls. Great place to take out of town company. Dropped in at Painters Lodge on the way home for a relaxing lunch on the patio.

Great way to spend a few hours. The views are amazing and besides the steps to get to the platforms the walk is easy.

It's a great little hike to the suspension bridge, which also has a great viewing deck on the other side as well as just below it. It's a beautiful area and well worth the visit.

We had read about the Elk Falls bridge and took the short drive out of Campbell River to see it. Very glad we did. Free parking, usual 'natural' toilets available in the car park and a short walk (5mins) slightly downhill to the bridge. There...More

This bridge is high but very safe and I would recommend it for anyone. Even little ones are safe here. Go for it.

Yes, but only at the trail head, along with washrooms. I don't believe there are any down by the falls. However, places to sit on the other end of the bridge, right above the falls.

There is a large parking lot near the trail entrance so it should be easy for your husband to walk in from there.
