A popular destination family campground on Vancouver Island! Explore the incredible camping, hiking, biking, and fishing opportunities this region has to offer. Be sure to check out the new suspension bridge! Park visitors to Elk Falls will enjoy the extensive forest trail network and the hiking and biking opportunities available. Impressive waterfalls serve as a beautiful backdrop while hiking through coastal forests. Minutes from the main campground, visitors can explore the impressive new suspension bridge. Access to the bridge can be found off the Canyon View Trail. Adventurous park users will be awe-struck at the views found from this newly-built attraction! Firewood is available for sale from the Park Operator. Reservations are recommended during peak season, however last-minute campers may be able to find a spot in July and August. Reservations for this park are accepted for arrival dates from mid-May – Labour Day. Elk Falls is open year-round (Winter Camping $11/night).

The falls are just a short walk from the parking lot. Ideal if you are travelling with smaller children.

You have to go see the falls if you are in the area... so beautiful! The trails to the suspension bridge are lovely as well! Definitely worth a trip!

This is a "must see" in Campbell River. The falls have had increased water flow and are quite spectacular year round.

Elk Falls spectacular yesterday with Hydro releasing significant more water. Recommend seeing it now, with this additional water release. Walk is about 1 km to the Falls.

Great walk up to the falls, not hard, great for everybody. The suspension bridge is awesome, thank rotary for keeping it free.

Sorry I do not know because where we were was like a day park.. There is an elk falls provincial park but it is back towards town .. And it would be the same price as other provincial parks .. But.. It you stay on the main... More

Yes, on leash. A lot of dogs are scared of the suspension bridge, so be aware that you may not be able to get Fido over to the other side.
