I attended a "celebration of life" here last Saturday and it was the perfect venue in every way. It's a lovely building and the staff were very helpful. I'm don't live in the lower mainland so I can't comment on the location but none of the people attending seemed to have any difficulty finding it.

My family has been coming to Shadbolt for 11 years from Sept to June. My son for 3 years my daughter 9 years. The programs sponsored through the city of Burnaby are awesome. The teachers are great and the price is right. The facility is beautiful as are the surrounding grounds.

Every year they have a free Christmas celebration. I love to bring my family here for it. One year we watched the Bobs and LoLo concert, each year they do Christmas crafts for the kids. It's great and my kids love it.

My family, friends and I enjoy going to Heritage Village often and the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts is a cool stop, to check out what they have happening. Best to visit them online for current news, but I highly suggest to check them out next time in Burnaby, BC :)

One of Canada's best art centers, check classes of all art types. Some are daily most a term. All ages and variety. I personally have done water colors and drawing & painting. Also a fabulous pottery with sculpting, hand built and wheel thrown classes. Occasional specialist comes with taking classes and a few of these are a one day event.... More

Have taken my 3-year old grand-daughter many times to her dance classes at Shadbolt. The environment is engaging enough that she looks forward to, and is excited about, going to class.

This is a real warm community facility in beautiful surroundings. There is always something going on of interest, theatre productions, opera, art, pottery and lovely displays. There is a small corner coffee/wine bar with food and often lunchtime music in the foyer. I always take out of town company there.
