This was a lovely zoo to go to with our nephews. I'm a huge animal fan and none of the conditions at this park gave me reason to question them. All the money seemed to go to the animals.

It is probably not the best Zoo in the World, but it is ours. Staff is nice and helpful. Many smaller animals roam around freely, giving you and your kids a chance for close observation. My fave residents: The zebras with attitude, the always hungry giraffe, the Siberian Tiger and the bear, and the coyote, and the marabou and and... More

My young kids like the zoo because they can ride their bikes around the exhibits and there is a large playground inside. This zoo has potential but the place needs a very big upgrade. I leave feeling sorry for the animals in the outdated habitats they live in. If you are used to zoos like Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle... More

This zoo has a good cross-section of animals from across Canada and around the world. Distances between sections can be demanding for those with mobility problems, so be prepared. Food services are pretty much burgers and hotdog style, with a few more elaborate choices.

We've had annual membership passes to the zoo for a couple years now. We try to go very frequently, sometimes several times a month. The zoo has grown on me the last few years. It may not look like much at first, but the more time you spend here the more you realize how wonderful it really is. Every time... More

Really disappointed. The train ride was too fast. Not able to see the animals .For the price one would expect at least a small map and don't tell me about economic friendly. It is simply a money saving reason. The vivaquarium or what it is called was particularly disappointing as it could have at least a few live plants. All... More

There were no redeeming qualities to be found for this location. I have to agree with one of the previous reviewers that called out the very small amount of cars in the parking lot. I hesitate to call it a zoo. I will list the offenses that we saw. Poorly maintained grounds and enclosures. Many displays missing animals, those that... More

We passed up going to the Kamloops Animal Park in favor of going to the Greater Vancouver Zoo because we didn't have time to do both, and we thought a large city Would have a much better zoo than a smaller one. Unfortunately, we made a grievous error. Our first clue should have been the empty parking lot, but it... More

Haven't been there in years but took my 3 grandchildren on a wet miserable Vancouver morning with only 2 cars in the parking lot. It certainly has improved since I was there with my kids years ago and as the weather was so poor we had the place to ourselves. A delightful young lady who wants to be a journalist... More

We love coming here with the grandkids, as it is very family friendly! The best way is to buy a seasons pass which helps keep the costs under control! Yes, some buildings/ landscape need a little extra TLC, hopefully that will come next year. However the family can get some quality time together!!
