very interesting, glad we stopped

Stopped by on a cold afternoon looking for an inside activity, glad we did. Lots of variety, something that almost everyone would be interested in.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed checking out the Homestead Museum. As we entered we were met by Gilles, who worked at the Museum. He had amazing insights into the whole homestead scenario. A walk through the facility shows off what it was like to be a homesteader in Alberta, all the way from kitchen utensils to farm equipment. Some... More

Very interesting museum, filled with literally hundreds of items, maybe even thousands. Laid out very well, I liked the different sections showcasing life over the last 100 years. Lots of items to see, the china was so pretty as well, and the antiques were lovely. Learned a lot about the area, thought it was much better then I anticipated.

This place is FULL of historic items! It was really neat to see a lot of them, but it was a bit boring. And cold. The owner was very friendly though. :)

This museum offered numerous displays that offered informative notes. No drinks are allowed in. Their is a seniors price of $8.00. In one section their are numerous drawers filled with money from different areas of the world. Antiques are very well displayed, some are in glass cases and others are on display on tables. They even have an iron lung.

Very cool exhibits-my daughter and I really enjoyed how thoroughly each item was described-lady working was wonderful and friendly-I could have spent hours here-I enjoyed the medical portion of the exhibit, My 11 year old enjoyed the two headed calf and animal oddities, part of our party found it boring but history buffs would love it.

We stopped into this museum and paid the ten dollars a head to see the inside and were amazed by all the neat stuff that they had collected and had donated from the area. The people running it where very friendly and helpful.
