Spent three days in Calgary to visit my friend. Honestly speaking, Calgary isn't the first place you think of when you think of tourism. After asking around for suggestions on places to see, I found out that I seemed to be the only one who hadn't heard of the "dinosaur museum". An important note is that the Royal Tyrell Museum... We have been members of the Royal Tyrell Museum for the last five years and it is wonderful value for the cost of membership! Even if you only have a day to spend in Drumheller, please take time to see this museum. They have extraordinary exhibits and lots of interactive displays for children and adults alike.

An excellent little gem. We did the trip several times throughout our lives and it's always been great. Very nice set up and interactive features for guests visiting the museum. It's nice that they have some at a foot or so from the floor for kids as they want to touch everything. Wheelchair accessible, cafe is avail but we skipped... More

This museum is well laid out and informative. Prehistoric times are well illustrated and the dinosaur models imposing.

Interesting and informative visit to museum. Since we were there in October, we did not view outside exhibits. Also, not crowded so a nice casual roam.

Great place to visit for all the family. Amazing exhibits which demonstrate the size and diversity of these animals. I liked the height measure using a limb bone. So much to see and reasonably priced entry.

This is an amazing museum. We spent most of the day there in winter. Probably would have been more outside except that there was snow all over. This is considered to be the best dinosaur museum on the planet. It is huge but the exhibit includes less than one percent of the fossils that are located in the museum's back... More

Beautiful museum. Visited last summer with a big group of family. Adults and Children all enjoyed. I suggest going when it first opens because it does get busy. If time permits I would have loved to sign my kids up for one of the many activities and workshops they provide. A must see if you are camping or touring in... More

If you ever visit Alberta, one should take the time to visit the Royal Tyrrell Museum at Drummhelher , Not only is the museum a great educational experience, the hoodoos nearby and the old mine bridge makes for a great day trip.
