Worth The Trip!

Quaint and charming. A slow ferry across a small river. A nice way to compete the circle back to where we came from.

This circle tour we took was very enjoyable and would totally do it again. The views looking down on the river were lovely

Not much to really see here, but it is probably the coolest, most unique ferry you'll ever ride on. Just for that experience it was fun, and the kids thought it was pretty cool! No charge to ride, so just wait for the ferry to come and in a few minutes you'll be on the other side. We did this... More

This is my kind of service: ring a bell if the ferry is not on your side of the Red Deer River and the ferry master will come and get you. This is a cable ferry. It's cool to get out of your car and lean on the guardrail to watch the river and hope to see a fish jump... More

We drove the loop which starts and ends in Drumheller, and passes many of the sights along the way. One of them was the Bleriot Ferry which takes you across the Red Deer river. It was the only way to get across to continue the loop but it provided a lovely little break from driving in the heat. The ferry... More

What a neat little ferry - it takes less than 5 minutes to go over the red deer river. The ferry man is very nice. Oh and by the way - it is free :). We just went back and forth and then we were on our way.

This is a great way to go to Tyrell Museum. The views are spectacular. It is a cable ferry. No charge!

We did the drive on Dinosaur Trail and were keen to do loop so had to cross river by ferry. We enjoyed it so much we turned around after crossing and came back same way we came .

Fastest way to Drum from the north. Very cool to ride a ferry in land-locked Alberta. I think the guy who runs it may be the best part: he is so friendly.

Went through Drumheller today on a motorcycle. I took the ferry crossing, it was fantastic. Fortunately there was no one else on the ferry at the time so I got to have a nice chat with the operator. He was cheerful and easy to chat with. He explained how the ferry functions, and a little history of the area. Great... More
