Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is the only public beach in the island on which it is safe to swim. It has some great views and is an overall ok beach. Has some bars and restaurants tucked away to the sides that makes this a pleasant beach to stay at for a while.

We went here just to view the sunset. Tuk-tuk trip to and from our hotel (Sivalai Beach Resort). Short trip that let you see parts of the island.

We only stayed on the beach for an hour to see the sunset. Might be a nice place to go for a day trip as well.

Sad to see the former resort buildings and swimmingpool ruins.

The beach itself could be stunning, but unfortunately it is covered in plastic and washed up rubbish. The old hotel nearby was partially torn down for building on a national park which makes the place feel sad. I imagine they would have cleaned the beach in the morning as they do at the Sivilai. Still worth the walk though as we met really wonderful local people there, and the hilltop restaurant is along the way.

If you get to Ko Muk, follow the trail west towards Charlie Beach. Maybe Chalie Beach. It is a couple kms from city center, you can take a tub-tuk if you don't feel like walking. The beach is gentle, little or no surf, great swimming...It is wide, almost 70 meters at low tide. Beautiful area, not heavily touristed although there are some resorts, bars and restaurants along the road.

There are lots of people here and little shade. If you choose to use the chairs or umbrellas be prepared to purchased something for the locals or the restaurants.

It's a nice beach and being in a bay the waves are less.

The beach is indeed nice but just a few footsteps behind the beach there is a large garbage dump that destroys all the positive images.
The Thais have a very weird understanding of nature and garbage - They keep the sandy beach clean, collect most of the trash, but then throw it into the jungle just a few steps behind the beach. What good is a beautiful sandy beach if there's a stinking garbage dump right behind it?

Worth a visit, really nice beach with a couple of bars/ restaurants on the cliffs, beds, umbrellas etc are free.

Food was great and not many people there.

You'll walk through a resort that has been abandoned after the govt declared it a National park.

A wonderful, gently sloping beach on the west side of Koh Mook. The location means that you can enjoy beautiful sunsets here after spending a lovely day there. There is no current, the water slopes gently and is therefore also suitable for children. The loungers and chairs with parasols set up on the beach can be used free of charge if you buy something from the stalls behind them. Everyone is very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is very relaxing.
You can also easily go to the Emerald Cave from here by kayak or longboat.

We were there in 2020 and then it was a demolition site for the hotel that had been there. Now they have cleaned up and there are now lots of small temporary eateries along the beach. If you choose to buy something from someone, you can borrow sunbeds for free. The water is nice and I think it's a perfectly fine beach. The downside of all of Koh Mook is all the dogs that are everywhere now. They can't be anywhere but there are dogs running around in restaurants, hotel areas and beaches. They move around in large groups.
