I've been coming to this fishing resort since 1976, first with my father and now so many years later with extended family and friends. It's a very, very nice place to stay and relax. The fishing is a bonus. The resort owners, Klaus and Lynn, are just about like family, taking care of and paying attention to everyone that visits. The grounds and buildings are well maintained and well worth the trip from Wisconsin Dells. I don't have enough good things to say.

We spent 7 nights and 6 days. We found the lodging to be modern, spacious and well furnished. The small cabins easily sleep 3-4, and the large cabins sleep 7-8. Clean, nicely furnished, and all the kitchen items you need to prepare meals. We had a nice large window in the living area overlooking Lake Sturgeon the view was great. We fished got our limit for walleyes 3 days. We had one rain day, and one day that a cold wind limited our fishing. We fished for northern pike 2 days. The first day we caught one pike 36 inches along with several smaller and a few walleyes. The second day was a huge success. Not only did we catch 20+ pike over 20 inches, we caught one that was 37 and then a larger and more mature pike that was 39 inches, a truly nice trophy fish. All pike were released for the next angler. The owner, Claus Otto has 40 years of experience as a guide for fishing, bear, and moose, and has an intimate knowledge nearly all of the nearby lakes and has boats at several other lakes for use by his guests along with boats on Lake Sturgeon. He and his wife Lynn are excellent operators and bend over backwards to insure each guest's expectations are met. We all had a great time and highly recommend this resort for fishing. Our young family members, 10,12, and 14 not only caught lots of fish but also safely enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boats, slide and raft, all of which are in 3-4 feet of water and fishing off the two docks.

I have been going to Harris Bay for years and have never been disappointed by the lodge owners. Kind, respectful, friendly and accommodating, they don't just build a customer base, they make friendships. They're always willing to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is everything you hoped for, and their cabins are the best anywhere around! The location and accessibility to the main lake (Sturgeon) and surrounding outlying lakes is ideal, and makes fishing fun. Quiet, secure, beautiful, and relaxing -- It is what I look forward to for 51 weeks of every year!

Harris Bay Resort is a terrific location for a week of fishing. You can bring your own boat or camper or rent. The cabins are very clean and more impressive than I hoped for; ours had air conditioning, two bedrooms, a small dining room, a small living room, a small (but full) kitchen, and a newly remodeled bathroom with HOT showers! Down by the water, there are water sport activities for those who wish to skip fishing or relax. These include a water slide, paddle boats, and kayaks. For fishermen, there is an immaculate cleaning house and freezer house for getting your fish ready to come home. Lynn & Claus Otto were very accommodating, making sure that we had no needs. It was a long haul from Ignace, but the serenity of the wilderness was so peaceful!
