The gardens were lovely, well taken care of. We missed the prime rose season, which was unfortunate but there were plenty of roses left to enjoy. The sculpture garden was interesting as well.

We loved our visit here. It's such a charming place to explore. The alpacas were a fun addition. We visited on a hot weekday, and felt very uncrowded and unhurried. I also recommend eating at the cafe here.

I prefer Kingsbrae to Butchart Gardens - by far! It's compact, well-designed, and surprising. Every turn has a new experience, new flora and fauna, new artwork, a different water feature - you will need multiple visits to experience everything!

I was disappointed in the garden. the lawns badly needed mowing and there were many very weedy beds. I looked for identification labels - many plants were unidentified. I also found the entrance fee of $16 to excessive.

I'd suggest that since the Maritimes typically warm slower, that you'd likely see more spring flowers. It's never a bad trip to Kingsbrae, perhaps winter is out though. We've been in July and end of August, both great... More
