Walk in East Sooke Park

If you walk an hour in on a trail allow enough time to get back. At this time of year dark comes quickly. The trails are not very busy so be self sufficient.

I highly recommend going to East Sooke Regional Park if you have a few hours to spend. I was squeezing it in, and wanted to take a hike and arrive at the water. Halfway through a beautiful, lush hike I decided that I couldn't turn around at the designated time I had set for myself, and I pushed on to... More

East Sooke park is my favourite park in the Sooke area. Its worth it to visit multiple times, hiking in from both ends of the park. If you want to hike the whole thing the coast trail takes a while, there's lots of ups and downs, but its incredibly beautiful. Its hard not to feel like you're in paradise!

We took the Pike's Point Trail out to the Pacific Coast Trail. The closer you get to the ocean the tougher the trail is.....moderate ability required at best. Beautiful scenery at the coast. Many people were at the beach area with there dogs.

Beautiful Setting! My favourite is the entrance to the park at Aylard Farm. The main trail leads you from the large parking area along the through the grassy meadow and apple trees to a rest area. There you can make your way down to the beach or take one of many challenging hiking trails that span the beautiful East Sooke... More

One on my favorite places to hike, lots of variety for all levels of hikers, you can go for half an hour or spend all day. The coast trail out to cabin point is always fun!

Do the Coast Trail on a clear day - absolutely beautiful, somewhat challenging and you will see wildlife! Hiking here reminds me I live in the best place in the world!

Hiked from Alyard farm to beachy head! The first part of the trail is easy then it's quite technical as you are climbing over rocks! Lots of lovely viewpoints. There is also petroglyphs on part of the trail. There are washroom facilities by the main parking lot.

We had a quick hike in the park. Uphill completely on our route so we only hiked for about 45 minutes, but the park is huge and I'm sure you could spend a day there.

Good chance to see whales, bold eagles and otters...There are some nice short walks to some lookouts and longer walks along the coastline and through the forrest.
