The coach driver that picked us up from the Rocky Mountaineer gave us a quick guided tour of the Little People, a novel idea to disguise a fire hydrant.

Set yourself a challenge and find them all ! This was you get to explore all of Quesnel. With the recent street work son completed, the town is well worth spending time in.

On our coach ride from the Rocky Mountaineer to our accommodation for the night, our coach driver pointed out the quirky little painted figures around the town which turned out to be fire hydrants. Very clever treatment of an otherwise unremarkable necessity in the streetscape.

We didn't set out to look for all of them but we did see a few during our walk around a few blocks in Quesnel. Such a good idea!!

Little people painted on fire hydrants. Little historical people. Fun scavenger like hunt for kids and grownups alike. Some towns have totem poles, some have murals, some have chainsaw carvings, Quesnel has Little People. Only about 3 blocks by 3 blocks within downtown so it...More
