We really enjoyed the coconut curry bowl; sitting outside by the river under a parasol in the September sun surrounded by eager ducks, it was a meal to remember.

What a great place to visit, made all the more enjoyable with a warm sunny day. Easy access, great coffee shop with beautiful setting and views to the rear. Real gem of a place and steeped in history. Well worth a visit!

This is my number one place to visit when I am showing people around the SE of England. It's such a beautiful castle, and the recent improvements they have made to the ticket buying experience and new cafe are wonderful additions.

On the grounds is on-lead only, but there is plenty of good tracks and bins for well, waste.. As for inside, as stated a, a tether point is outside of the actual castle.
