On approach to the castle you would think it was still in use today, the outside is in such good order. Then you see the moat, the icing on the cake. There is a brief guide on the hour and it is informative. The inside...More

Worth visiting. A well preserved beautiful castle which was built in 1385. There is also an excellent restaurant where they do very tasty jacket potatoes! and a well stocked bookshop too.

Awesome castle grounds to wonder around for free! Shame about the parking fees though. Beautiful castle, well worth the trip.

Beautiful Castle and I was surprised with the interior, where we can still feel the 14th-century life within it walls and rooms. The grounds of the castle is also absolutely beautiful and it is worth walking around it.

This venue is well worth a visit as it offers a chance to see and experience a historical site. It's not too far from the car park and is also dog friendly ,, they need to be on a lead.

On the grounds is on-lead only, but there is plenty of good tracks and bins for well, waste.. As for inside, as stated a, a tether point is outside of the actual castle.
