Golfed at The Rock with friends during a fall trip to the area. The course layout is very nice, built around many rocky outcrops. Some great views, lots of wildlife, and interesting holes. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Went for a walk around the JWMarriot grounds and found The Rock Restaurant/ Clubhouse at the end of the road. Golf Course looks nice. Outside clubhouse patio is perched atop the greens. Nice view of a beautiful golf course. The clubhouse and restaurant are average, not as finely finished as Lake Joseph or Grandview clubhouses, but the beer is cold... More

Reminiscent of playing mountain golf. Pluses are scenery, elevation changes and good greens. Negatives are tricky to play the first time, unrepaired divots in fairways, long carries off the forward tees and even slightly missed shots can be severely penalized. Need to approach it as a fun day out and not get too fussed about scoring well.

The Green T decks (other courses call it white T's) were hacked up. A Nick Faldo course should not skimp on maintenance.

Very good condition. The greens were fast which I like and the fairways nice and manicured. The wives hated the course due to the many carries off the tee. My suggestion is to add another set of tee blocks ahead of the danger for the very high handicappers. I enjoyed the track though but I hear there are many other... More

This course is very challenging but so beautiful don't miss it. The holes are encircled in rocks, beautiful trees and some water but definitely a must for all level golfers. It was the highlight of the trip!

Just a beautiful area. The golf course was amazing. The staff was truly incredible. The course is not for a beginner but even if you are just beginning the views are worth it. The greens are very difficult. Except to be challenged and bring some extra golf balls!
