Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really enjoyed this tour with Trev as a tour guide. Very informative, interesting and funny! Nice little chance to put your own beer at the end from 4/5 choices

Our guide Lee took us through the history of Batemans Brewery and the basics of brewing before showing us the brew Hall and the mills. Very interesting and interactive and wait for the tasting at the end!

Loved the tour our Guide Trev was amazing knowledgeable and friendly .Fascinating to look at the old Victorian brewery equipment. Was disappointmented only one cask ale on before tour .Had a pint of Gold( in excellent condition) but this was not included in tour price .At end of tour 3 keg lines were set up for attendees to help themselves but no sitting area and only limited time to consume ( I had 2 halves)

On Saturday 25th November, 39 of us attended Batemans for our staff Christmas party. Firstly, the staff were excellent in helping to arrange that the event went smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble! The food was fabulous, I have received many comments from those attending saying how much they enjoyed their meal. Batemans is full of character and makes a perfect venue for any size group.

I would thoroughly recommend Batemans, whether it be for a large or small event.

Attended the Brewery Tour on the 13th September 2023 which was a gift from my son and daughter in law. Couldn’t have been given a better gift. The tour was fascinating with the history of the Bateman family from the 1800’s to present day followed by a look at the ingredients and then a walking tour of the brewery itself both the old brew house and the new and finishes with a chance to taste the different beers they brew here.
If you are in the Wainfleet area which is between Boston and Skegness this is a good way of spending a couple of hours. This is still a family run business and well worth supporting.

We stayed on the campsite, which was very flat, great showers and toilets. Peaceful despite being close to the working brewery. Very pretty location with river walks nearby for our dogs. Two pubs in walking distance.

Excellent day out. Well organised tour of the well maintained premises by a very knowledgeable guide Trevor. The passion towards the beer produced at the site was very evident. Was able to sample and discuss some of the beers without any pressure whatsoever. Will certainly visit again and recommend to any fan of real ale.

A very informative tour on 10th June 2023 with our excellent tour guide, Lee. Would definitely recommend a visit to all real beer enthusiasts. Taster session at the end of the tour where you pulled your own “pint” was a highlight.
