We had enjoyed a previous visit here, so we were looking forward to another satisfying pint of beer and a home-cooked meal. As staff were preparing the restaurant for a special event, we opted to eat in the cosy bar and chose a pint of XXXB and a pint of golden ale. These were very much appreciated, so much so... More

We go to the brewery especially to visit the shop for Christmas stocking up of beer. First impression not great, the door is locked despite it opening half an hour previous, so we wander round the building and finally get in. Man in shop makes an Oscar worthy performance of pretending we don't exist despite there bring 4 of us... More

We booked a Sunday carvery lunch here for somewhere different to go. Reviews on TripAdvisory indicate that it is very good. Having paid at the counter in the shop we were given a ticket to take to the chef in the dining room. The first impression is that the dining room is quite small, but as you walk in opens... More

Second visit to Batemans and didn't disappoint. Really interesting and at times light hearted tour of the old and new brewhouse followed by free sample in the bar afterwards. Really enjoyable.

Took my grandson here but was a little saddened to find thats it not really for children. Odd bit of play frames but nothing special. It was however an interesting place and very quaint.

Having a drink in the brewery tap room was a treat in itself as it had so much character and the walls were adorned with photographs, beer bottles, beer mats and other paraphernalia. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour with 142 years of history brought to life in such an informative, engaging and entertaining way by our tour guide.

We stopped off here on the way back from Skegness as some friends had recommended it. Excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and really enjoyed the tour. Definitely worth a visit
