Music here 4 nights a week and the standard is good. It certainly stands out in the old school pub landscape of Walton as the nicest bar in town.

Live music is always good and it was good to see musicians out and about in Walton. Patrons were older and it was a strange mix of people - I can see that the bar would have a regular clientele - but wasn't really my...More

AWFUL.. Was served by a red head lady who refused to change my £7 glass of wine as it was served in a filthy glass, and it also tasted off. She then tasted in from my glass left her own lipstick mark on the glass...More

Absolute disgrace of a bar. Bar lady with red curly hair, refused to swap my over priced red wine that resembled something from a vinegar bottle. I politely asked for a new one, she then took the wine out of my hands, had a sip...More

Is the Owner/Manager(?) Racist? Appalling treatment last Friday to my guests from aboard - demanding in a loud and brash manner that we leave the bar and shouting that we pay and drink quickly and leave the premises. He gave 2 reasons, 1st its a member's only bar and 2nd it was crowed and he had Insurance. No signs on the website or the shop to say its a private bar. We had a table with many spare seats. The staff served the drinks without any problems. His staff and customers were ashamed and disgraced. GIving a bad name to English people. English people travel all over the world and expeirence a great welcome and hospitalty, my guests are hotel and bar owners in Goa and were shocked at this epside. Needless to say, we did not let this ignorant and shallow man's behaviour ruin our evening. We had a lovely evening at the Minnow with excellent staff, food and great service. The hospitality was so warm, they even offered to make coffee when the machines had actually been turned off. The Management and staff were first class, well trained staff and educated gentlemen at the Minnow. Still don't know the reason why the Owner/Manager took this nasty and rude step, and as there were no other reason, I can only assume that it was a racist action.
