Visited here again on Sunday, this time we visited the Hall and the Childhood Museum utilising our NationalTrust membership. Pleasantly surprised by the grandeur of the Hall, some lovely ornate pieces. We had fun with the ladies and gents dancing, even joining them. Some activities...More

As NT members this location offered a number of options, not just the hall. The hall is not the largest property in the NT selection, but is full of history, and incorporating the nearby village is a good overall day out.It would be even better in...More

We were two couples, who had a nice day out at Sudbury Hall. The Hall itself is a very grand building, but is a little empty of any furniture. This does give the Hall a feeling of being cold and unwelcoming. You feel as if...More

The first time we’ve visited this lovely National Trust property and loved it. It is a really lovely Jacobean House and has some magnificent paintings from the seventeenth century through to the thirties. Tremendous ceiling paintings. It has good parking, though a walk from the...More

This building is over 400 years old in a great state of repair; the preservation / restoration work is clearly a priority for the NT here. However, it lacked any soul and depsite its many rooms, impressive paintings and extensive building work over the centuries,...More

I would say at any time of the year, as exhibitions and events are going on al the time. Each season is beautiful, so just go whenever you feel like it and enjoy the magic of every season. I hope this is of help to you.
