The goods are amazing at this bakery, and businesses that are local, unique, dedicated, and high quality, using "green" methods of production is what I enjoy when I visit Vancouver Island, and the Gulf Islands.

Went to Cow Bay to check out some of the shops one very rainy day and ducked into the bakery...who could resist! Well, what a delightful treat that turned out to be! The place was warm, cozy and buzzing with happy patrons. Delicious samples were offered while we pondered our choices....way too many! Between the three of us we all... More

The grain is often locally grown and it is milled on site. Wonderful selection of baked goods and many gluten free breads using kamut and other artisan flours. Great place for a coffee and a cookie in a relaxed small town setting in the bay. Flours of many types, as well as granola, and holiday special items for sale. Local... More

True grain bakery in cowichan bay has the loveliest staff ever!! I have had the pleasure of visiting them almost daily for my morning tea and treats. They are always chipper, full of compliments and Brittany the manager even let's me borrow her giant tea cup when I need that bigger cup of morning tea some days. It's alway clean,... More

I can't heap enough accolades upon this bakery. It's truly love at first bite. There is a gorgeous array of breads and sweets but the Americano and the drip coffee were among the best to be found in the region.

Popped in for sweets and sunflower bread to have for picnics later. Oh my! This place is oh so good! The bread we got was a gluten free rather dense that was so scrumptious with cheese and olives. Folks are so kind, friendly and helpful. Keep in mind that they are a cash only business. Highly recommend!

We stopped here en route to Tofino on the recommendation of a guy in the Victoria Market. We were not disappointed. The bread was fantastically fresh; lasted all week. The bretzels were fresh and old-German-worldly. We would stop here again if we were heading north on the island. Highly recommended.

Thank Marfak
