We visited in August 2017, Falls Creek ski-fields was very busy, but the village of Bogong was almost deserted. There was nothing open for lunch. We parked the car in the carpark, which is located beyond the power station on the edge of Lake Guy....More

Spend a quality time by the goegeous lake and enjoy the sounds if nature and the relaxing quietude. The cafe wasn't open when we went as it was early in the morning but it seems very nice and has a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake....More

This is the most spectacular place I have ever swum ! the water is crystal clear (somewhat icy cold) but just amazing ! The Bogong area is a really special part of the world & we can't wait to come back.

The climb up to Mount Bogong is one of the toughest you will encounter in this country. It is just 242 metres shorter than Mount Kosciusko but much tougher and time consuming. At 1986 metres it seems a lot more. There is no chair lift...More
