It was cold, but we enjoyed the park very much. We were nicely surprised it was free. One slightly odd bit was that there was a note suggesting that some of the animals would be used as food for a pre Christmas event

When to this park with friends we were visiting. It was an uphill walk, but it was worth the effort. The view was great up there, especially at sunset time.

On our trip to Sauerland, we went to several wildlife parks (in German: Wildpark). Wildpark Frankenberg was our favorite, although it has a smaller variety of species then Wildtierpark Edersee, but this park is more fun because all deer (including large red deer) walk through the park freely and can be fed (with special food bought at a vending machine at the entrance). Free entrance. No info desk, but toilets are available.

Really peaceful scenery, animals walk around you without a fence (great!), entrance is free. A little the feeling of a wildlife experience!
