The mill and craft shop sit by the River Wye overlooked by the hills of the Peak District just south of Bakewell. The shop sells items a good cut above the average craft shop at quite reasonable prices. We especially loved the cards and pictures but candles, mugs and bamboo socks are all very good. The cafe is a pleasure... More

This is a great place to visit. The mill is good. The little craft shop is great for quirky things that you don't see on the high street.

Interesting place for adults and children. Craft shops and working flour mill. There is an entrance fee if you want to go into the actual flour mill and see the millstones grinding flour. You can buy the flour direct from there.

We visited on a Sunday morning. The mill was not working and there was little to see or do. I am not sure that even if the mill had been open this would have ben worth the visit

This is a collection of shops and craft workshops which is interesting and well stocked. It includes flour from a local mill, a stone mason, wood work and the more usual gifts and local souvenirs.

Can be found just off the A6 (left turn) as you drive through Rowsley towards Bakewell. This is an old flour mill where visitors can walk through the old mill and see how it used to be done years ago. The last time flour was produced here was in the 1970's. However there is a Mill Shop where you can... More

We went late in the day and so a lot of things were shut, but we went in the shop which had some very nice items in it and large enough for a nice browse.

Having been holidaying in Derbyshire for many years, we have visited this mill and craft centre countless times. The one thing I would say is it isn't as good as it used to be - even the entrance from the carpark looks tired! Stonemasons and Blacksmiths both very good and you can see the skill involved in producing such great... More
