What a lovely way to explore hidden and haunted streets of lovely Bristol. Was a bit sceptical initially but no need, was absolutely fantastic. John was just great, well experienced and very engaging, friendly and informative. A great evening. Fantastic stories of ghostly past and fascinating tales along the way. Highly recommended

Really loved our tour with John, thank you for answering all our questions! We asked so much and got more than we expected! Our tour switched from ancient history, to wartime Bristol, to medieval Bristol, to modern pop culture and Bristol's music scene through the years. Thanks for having us! We've made notes in our phones to remind us when the rock n roll tour is running.

We visited Bristol from Norfolk and we found the city very big and overwhelming. We booked onto the tour with John on Friday evening (the last night of our stay) and it was the most fantastic experience, primarily because he was an amazing host but also to get to know the city in more detail. We’ve been on several ghost walks before and this wasn’t a ghost walk - not that it was advertised as such! It was so much more! John was a brilliant guide, funny and warm, and such a darling with our dogs (he even bought them treats!). He recommended lots of films and series to check out featuring things we had seen, and he clearly knows his stuff. I could have listened to another few hours of him, though I think my dogs would have fallen asleep on their feet! Definitely worth doing, even if you’re local - there really is something for everyone, local or not.

Thank you so much Hannah for your kindness & words, it’s very much appreciated as was your support on Friday night after a tough 18 months or so. Thank you for mentioning I’m not just a ghost walk as some of the occasional negative reviews mention this. Ive always tried to combine as many subjects as I can in the 90 mins to try and offer something for everyone. Massive thanks again for taking the trouble to post & bringing the lovely dogs along too! Take good care

We (a group of three, 1 visiting Bristol and 2 Bristol locals) booked this tour very last minute, and despite all the group tours being booked up, John was able to arrange a private tour for us which was amazing. We had so much fun and it was the highlight of my trip to Bristol! Despite my friends being Bristol locals, they still found it fascinating as you learn so much about the city that you’d never normally learn. John knew so much about the city, and so many buildings that you would never normally look twice at (like Primark!) he made very interesting. I think what made the tour extra great for us was John’s great sense of humour and how friendly he was, it felt like you were walking around Bristol with an old friend. It had a good balance of ghost stories, music and film knowledge, and history, a bit of everything! It was also very affordable which meant it was accessible for us as students. We would recommend this tour for adults of all ages, and have already been recommending it to friends! A great experience!
