Shocking

For a City of Bristol’s status and stature, the place is a disgrace. Thank goodness the City’s other football stadium is befitting of the City.

Old School
Sep 2019 • Solo
In the days of modern non descriptive concrete bowls in the middle of shopping complexes, this certainly makes a refreshing change.
Shoehorned In the middle of a residential area the ground is a mix of the old and the quirky.
Having said that we were made to feel welcome and whilst the locals were noisy, it certainly wasn’t threatening.
Undoubtedly the club will locate in due course and another old traditional ground will be lost.
It will be a shame.

An authentic English football club
Aug 2019
If you want to experience an authentic football experience, Bristol Rovers are a great team to watch. The stadium itself is not the most practical, but is built in a traditional style, and particularly the Thatchers end is packed with proper fans who roar on their team. Would recommend watching Rovers instead of City for a visitor to Bristol with a passion for football.

In need of demolition!
Jan 2019
An eyesore. Went with a couple of gas mates. A throwback to the 70s. Needs pulling down. Lots of filthy language, even around kids. The football was awful. Only went because they paid. Embarrassing. Avoid at all costs!

Our visit to Bristol was on a wet Tuesday night – probably the best that can be said. Overall it was not a good experience. It began with trying to park. Parking is difficult in that the space on the ground is virtually all reserved, so you need to get early to find something in the residential areas nearby. That means get there early, or be prepared to walk a distance.

Once at the stadium I had to pick up tickets and was sent to three different places by stewards who knew very little. Frustrating for everything except my pedometer.

Followed up by the fact it was raining. If you’ve not booked the seating behind the away goal you get wet, very wet in this case, and if you want food it’s queue in the rain. The pies ere good and that’s why they score da two from me, otherwise it would have been a one. Even under shelter it blew in. View was ground level behind the net – again in the rain some things did happen at the far end but could not really see.

So for the away supporter it’s a tick in the box for an out of the way ground, been there, done it, don’t want to go back.

On A Sunny Summer Evening
Aug 2018 • Friends
This ground has a certain quirkyness, with its various stands in all shapes and sizes and over the summer yet another has appeared, making a total of six. Both the home and away teams were well supported, making an excellent atmosphere. A good match day experience and for the visitors, a good result.

Brill old school stadium
Apr 2018
Love this place. It’s a proper old school stadium . The alcohol in the bars are reasonably priced. The toilets could do with updating though.
