The Bristol Packet company provides a variety of boat trips commencing at Bristol Harbour. We chose the trip down the Avon to Avonmouth and back. I am a Bristolian but still learnt new facts from the informative on-board commentary. A cold day but warm inside; on hot days the roof can be opened. The highlight of the trip was passing... More

We had the Bagheera pick us up from Mud Docks Cafe and take 50 wedding guests to Temple Meads, the journey was only 30minutes but it was 100% worth it. The children loved it, adults danced all the way there and it was an amazing part of the day which really did add a different element to the wedding. Definitely... More

After a hard day as culture vultures on the Saturday, we needed and got a lovely interlude on the canals. With interesting and informative commentary, you get to find out about the canals and the land, arks of interest and significance. Can even squeak in a sneaky glass of wine if you want

whilst the weather was good this summer we treated ourselves to a trip down the river on the Bristol Packet which turned out to be thoroughly enjoyable experience. The on board commentary was interesting as well as informative and interesting it gave us a different angle to industrial Bristol from a boats view.

If you are looking for a leisurely cruise around Bristol harbour this is the one. We had a great water view of the ss Great Britain and could have gone to Clifton but we were time constrained. Crew were very informative giving historical facts about the waterways as we sat back and enjoyed a coffee as we headed under the... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip in bright sun on a Sunday morning. The boat trip is just long enough, just the right amount of thoughtful chat and quite a historic spot. Very good. I think it complements a trip to the SS Great Britain that is 50 metres along the quay, as you get some of the context of Bristol... More

This was a girls only celebration for my good friend's 40th. What an afternoon we had, great crew on board very helpful with a fully stocked bar. The sun was shining the music was playing, the wine was flowing what more could you want. This is a must for any celebration. Thank you.

Unfortunately we were too late to take a tour that includes Brunell's suspension bridge, so we did a "City Docks Tour" and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good way to see the city from the water, with interesting explanations given on the way.

This trip on narrow boat, Redshank, was bought for my husband and I as a gift, and what a wonderful gift it was. The journey was so interesting, taking in history, architecture, wildlife and the natural beauty of the river Avon. The crew were friendly, helpful and extremely competent, giving an interesting but not intrusive commentary on all aspects of... More
