Had a really good day out at Bristol zoo on Tuesday. The weather was lovely (which helped), spent about 4 hours there, I think the adult ticked are slightly over priced but the food on site was reasonable. My daughter really enjoyed the day & loved looking at all the animals. Unfortunately we could not feed them birds & the... More

If your looking for a traditional zoo with traditional zoo animals then this place isn't for you. However don't let this put you off! The range of animals it has is fantastic. With little surprises such as a twilight walk full of creatures prone to the dark as well as bug world and an aquarium which aren't typically associated with... More

If you fancy a day out at a Zoo and have £17 you must go here. I think its about usual for Zoos. This one is very small compared to others I have visited. BUT wow they got Aye Ayes, Fruit Bats Armadillos and Gorillas, To name a few. it was a fantastic day out, tons to see, plenty for the... More

Had previously been told that this zoo is on the small side. It isn't huge but a nice size with animals you don't always see. We stayed here for about 4 hours, family of 4, 10-39 years. The food was not the best for the price so whilst the new restaurant is being built i would take a picnic. The... More

I've been wanting to visit the zoo for a while, in particular to see the Aye-ayes, but upon arriving in the zoo before midday and going through the nocturnal house the noise was deafening, the animals were showing much more stereotypical behaviours than when we revisited in the afternoon when the nocturnal house was almost empty, plus there was only... A very interesting zoo. First visit and although smaller than Chester with less variety of animals, what they do have are in stimulating environments. Lots of information is provided about each animal and how the zoo are helping with conservation. Very educational. Great talks too.

Set in beautiful grounds this zoo has all you need for a great day out, with a great range of animals in nice enclosures and a fantastic number of themed areas, a good amount of which are undercover, should the weather let you down. If the sun is on your side the gardens are great for a picnic, and if... More

I go to Chester zoo frequently and love it, so when we came down to Bristol over the bank holiday weekend and my partner suggested to come here I was happy to come. I wasn't expecting much as family had told us it was only a small zoo but I was pleasantly surprised. First of all I will mention that... More

Bristol Zoo has as special place in our family. We became members when our first child was born and we go loads. It isn't a big Zoo but that means you have a realistic chance of seeing everything in one visit unlike bigger zoos we've been too. The penguin and seal enclosure warrants particular mention as it is a great... More
