Good monument but beware the climb
Sep 2021
Bit of a climb up from the harbour-side but if you go to the Bristol museum and go across the road it if far easier to get to. It is an interesting monument in a pleasant setting and as it is free to enter the park and see from the outside then we’ll worth the time.

Pretty place. Uphill a lot, but worth it as pretty. God knows how old that tower must be. If you like seeing wildlife, then you will see a squirrel or two, or three, or four...
If you have a nut allergy, mind the squirrel poo. It's got nuts in it.

John Cabot
Sep 2021
This tower at the summit of Brandon Hill was constructed in memory of John Cabot, who set sail in the Matthew from Bristol in 1497 and landed in what was later to become Canada becoming the first European since the Vikings to visit North America. The tower wasn’t open to visits when I was there. Even from afar it’s an impressive looking building. Looking up at the building, I could see pretty looking corbelled balconies, which I’m sure would provide fantastic views of the surrounding area. But from the summit of Brandon Hill, you can see some impressive views of Bristol. A great landmark of Bristol.

A perfect place to chill and hangout. We had a lovely time climbing the hill and enjoying the view. But too bad the tower was closed and we couldn't see the city view

An serene afternoon visit
Aug 2021
We didn't enter the tower as it is shut due to Covid. But the tower itself is beautiful and so is the park that surrounds it. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you like being outdoors.

Beautiful building in the middle of a public park
May 2021 • Family
We visited the park as a stop for lunch and a place where the kids would play and run around. We then went to the top to explore the tower. Due to COVID, it was closed. The small waterfall and lake was very charms. Nice stop on the way to the next attraction in Bristol.

Top view of city
Apr 2021 • Couples
Lovely place for a relaxing walk on sunny days. It’s a shame that the tower is still closed for top view of the city.
Plenty of benches around to sit and relax.
