Queens Square is the historic part of Bristol that you just have to visit. Our American Pilgrims moved into the very first overseas American Consulate on mainland Britain in 1792. Tobacco and the trading of Slaves which formed a uncomfortable part of the cities historic quarter. Queens Square however remains a major part of the history of Bristol.

I am lucky enough to walk through Queen Square every day on my way to work. It is a beautiful square with a cobbled road. Cyclists share the footpath on one side. It is a lovely place to eat a packed lunch or there are a few cafes and pubs just off the square. You will not be disappointed and... More

It's nice place to sit when the suns out but when it rains it goes very muddy and messy so try to avoid it

A step into Bristol's past, right next to the harbourside. Feels a little like London with grand Georgian and Victorian buildings. worth a stroll through.

Queen square is essentially just a green. Not a real tourist attraction. I would say to skip it, there are so many other spots to see in the city.

Queen's Square is about a 2 minute walk from the center of Bristol (Hippodrome) and is pretty nice place to eat lunch or sit down for a few minutes. It has a few sandwich places and bars on the corners of the square too. This is a nice little square that's far enough away from the center and close enough... More

We strolled through this area during our stay. It is a lovely peaceful area to get away from the hustle ad bustle, however, being a wintry cold and foggy day we did not sit around but just walked through.

Thank Pamela P
