Bristol Docks are a great place to wander and, as you perambulate the dockside you can visually "peel back" layers of history and discover much about the creation of this great city. I'm not going to write a history lesson but the first thing to remember is that the docks are man made and fairly recent - 18th Century -... More

It's free, it's an excellent way to spend an hour or two and there is always something going on! There are plenty of places to stop for a snack or a drink and plenty of places to stop off and explore - M Shed and Underfall Yard which are free and the SS Great Britain which charges.

We spent an afternoon wandering along between Arnolfini and Baltic Wharf. Plenty to see and enough cafes/loos if you needed them. Still some areas under development but harbour side walk is well signposted. A bit disappointed that we couldn't just look at SS Great Britain...we didn't want to visit attraction, just wanted to take a photo but it's all hidden... More

Nice place to have a wonder and a look around. Apparently this isn’t enough info for a review so this is a filler

We had a lovely walk around the Docks on a Thursday evening. We started at Baldwin Street and just walked and walked. It was very busy and it was great to walk along by the water past all the bars and eateries and see people sitting inside and out enjoying themselves. There is lots of information posted on boards to... More

The docks were ok but there were still bits that needed doing up. Not as impressed as I was with Liverpool but I'm sure they will get there. Good though for food.

I visited the docks over 20 years ago. At that time it was dirty, run down and pretty seedy. My, how times have changed. Now it is the heart beat of Bristol, a great place to walk with many bar's and restaurants scattered all over the place as well as places of interest.
