Highly recommend this tour, John the tour guide is really engaging and his passion and love for street art and Bristol really does shine through. I had little knowledge myself on the subject of street art and graffiti, John really gave me an insight into the scene explaining the history of each artist, their art pieces, and the reasons why it was created - if your visiting Bristol get yourselves booked on this tour!

This tour is a must-do when visiting Bristol. It’s way more than just walking around seeing street art. John explains the stories behind the art, shares details about the artists, and gives you a different perspective on graffiti and street art. His passion is palpable and he is clearly very knowledgeable about the topic. A great way to spend an afternoon in Bristol and explore areas of town you might not otherwise. Highly recommend!

This was a very interesting and informative tour, mainly because the guide has such deep personal knowledge of the subject. His passion for it really brought the tour to life. It was worth doing the tour, as we learnt so much more than we would have done if we'd just looked at the street art by ourselves.

Best walking tour I have ever done, with amazingly knowledgeable and fascinating tour guide, John Nation. John has been involved with the graffiti scene in Bristol since it's early days, when he was a community worker in Barton Hill. He knows Banksy and many of the artists who evolved from those early days and are now acclaimed street artists. Be absolutely sure not to book a street art tour unless it is led by John.

The walking tour around Bristol to see a lot of different street art is very, very good. The tour is suppossed to last 2 hours, but the guide kept on telling so it was delaied ½ hour. This could have been OK if not for the fact that the extra ½ hour was spent to tell the memoires of the guide himself, how he knows Banksy and all the other street artist, how he was a cenytral person in the street art scene etc. etc. Quite tiresome. But in all: Highly recommended.

What a fantastic streetart tour in Bristol! John is the perfect tour guide, has in-depth expertise and a very good sense of humor. He is very authentic and has a great network in the local scene. The tour takes a holistic approach to show the full range of streetart and graffiti in Bristol both beginners and professional audience. Of course Banksy still doesn't miss out! During and after the tour, John took the time to delve deeper into the topic with me. I really love his authentic inside stories. The icing on the cake was the spontaneous meeting with artists from the scene. The tour is highly recommended and really a must for every street art fan! Next time I'm in Bristol I'll definitely be joining one of Johns tours at "Where the Wall" again! Many thanks again and warm regards from Cologne!

Do you think that children would enjoy the tour? My daughter is 6.
Written 13 April 2016
Hi. There were several children on the tour (see group photo on facebook: wherethewall). They were closer to 10 than 6, but for what it's worth they seemed to enjoy it very much. The art is very colourful, large and spectacular so I think it is easier to appreciate for a child than a museum. Hope that helps.

Hello, do you think you'll be leading the tour during the week of May 22nd? I'll be in London that week and could travel to Bristol. Weekends would be impossible for me. I see you sometimes offer it on Monday. Is May 23rd a possibility?
Thanks.
