Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

These guys are brilliant. I've been riding bikes for 20+ years and I found their 'Fundamentals' course massively helpful - its made me look at my riding in a completely different way, and given me a new appetite to get out on my bike. Great course, really good instructor in Ollie, could not fault it. Will definitely be going back for more advanced sessions!

"Fundamentals" half day (4hour) group course lead by tall Ollie at Pedal Progression. Covered stance, pumping and cornering. Ollie super teacher, probably run this course x100 but he seems fresh and engaged. In a group there is less time for individual attention but I never felt idle - always kept at it, practicing new skills. The "Nova" MTB trail right on hand. Ollie at ease answering any questions. Inclusive and just the right balance of tech nerd and free-spirited biker. Good VFM and would like to return to do more focused classes.

I highly recommend this shop, the guys who work there are super friendly and helpful, and they have a few e mtn bikes to hire which are lots of fun to ride. I thought it might be cheating but in fact it lets you cover more ground and you still have to put some effort in to make the motor kick in. The trails are great as usual and well maintained. We covered both the Ashton court nova trail and 50 acre wood and had a great time.

Booked online last night. Very good website to use.
Arrived this morning ( Friday 3rd Nov 2023 ).
Car park charges are very reasonable. Toilets, Cafe and golf hire shop on site too.
Picked up my Hardtail Emountainbike ( £40 for 2hrs ) from very pleasant and knowledgeable staff.
I was asked what I wanted from the ride and advised where to go and what to expect.
I had a great 2 hours on the trails ( very muddy and slippery (as storm ciaran has battered us ) but so much fun !!
When I got back to the hire shop I was given a card with one stamp on it towards a free hire when I have accrued five stamps !! Nice!
I look forward to going back for more rides with freinds and family over the next few months.
Ashton Court, Leigh woods and 50 Acre wood all easily accessible places around this Very Good company. Great staff and easy website.

Absolutely amazing service, first contact was by phone to discuss services and availability of bikes. Was so impressed we went there the same day extremely short notice as we live in Bristol. Got kitted out with bikes for the whole family and safety equipment. Loved it so much that I even invested in some bikes of our own after our experience. Great day out would definitely recommend them for an amazing day out especially with teenage kids. Various trails to make it interesting. (I did the easy route unlike my husband and boys!).

The bikes are great. The staff are great. The trails are great.
God I love living in Bristol!
Mixed group of roadies / mates today - some of them found it quite scary but no accidents. This trail is free to use maintained by volunteers. It is an absolute treat.

Awesome beginner trails and friendly staff. They were clearly busy but still managed to fit us in last minute. Great overall experience and the trails were easy (even for me)

Ollie & the team were amazing at helping me to plan this pretty bespoke day-out: 15 of us cycled from Bath to Bristol along the Railway Path. We were based in Bath for the trip, but Pedal Progression is based in Bristol. Ollie did all the organisation to have the bikes dropped to us in Bath, so we could cycle them back to the shop. Ollie even gave me some great tips for the route & stops along the way!
Gorgeous cycle along the path, bikes were in really great condition. Thanks so much

Gem of a bike shop. Friendly & knowledgeable staff. Hired an e-bike, was ready upon arrival, perfectly setup, even fitted a bottle holder for me

Brilliant customer service. Super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Have been here for training course and also to buy a second hand bike. Can’t recommend highly enough.
